SALTERS' NATIONAL SCIENCE TECHNICIANS AWARDS, 2002

The Salters' Institute, in collaboration with the Association for Science Education, the Institute of Biology, the Institute of Physics and the Royal Society of Chemistry, is establishing National Science Technician Awards. The first awards will be made in December 2002.

The awards are open to science technicians in schools and colleges catering for students to age 18, and who have a total of five or more years experience (either full-time or part-time).

Nominations may be made by the Head Teacher, Head of the Science or equivalent. The closing date for nominations is May 1st, 2002. The first Awards will be made in December 2002.

Subsequent to the receipt of the nomination, further information may be sought by the Selection Committee. This may be sought from the Head Teacher, or from the Head of the Science Department.

One or more members of the Selection Committee may ask if they may make an informal visit to the school or college.
