Writing a newsletter takes some time, so here's one prepared earlier!

You can include parents in celebrating your school's Science Year activities by sending out a newsletter. This template is presented as a Word file, which can be amended to help you do just that. Included in the newsletter are sections to link your work to Science Year. It provides suggestions on how pupils' work can be displayed, a range of layouts you can play about with and use for other resources. There is a lot crammed into these four pages to give you plenty of different ideas.

  • Science Year logo
  • Background to the Can we; should we? theme
  • Inside pages for pupil work
  • Images from Human Torch
  • Background to Footprints drama
  • Crossword
  • Publicity spot for a science event in your school
  • Website addresses for parents and pupils
  • Local science centre event details
  • School contact details for Science Department

Print out the four pages in black and white for photocopying onto an A3 newsletter.
