Writing a newsletter takes some time, so here's one prepared earlier!

You can include parents in celebrating your school's Science Year activities by sending out a newsletter. This template is presented as a Word file, which can be amended to help you do just that. Included in the newsletter are sections to link your work to Science Year. It provides suggestions on how pupils' work can be displayed and a range of layouts you can play about with or use for other resources. There is a lot crammed into these four pages to give you plenty of different ideas.

  • Science Year logo
  • Report on The Giant Jump
  • Background to the 'Is there life?' theme
  • Inside pages for pupil work
  • Space crossword
  • Publicity for a science debate in your school
  • Website addresses for parents and pupils
  • Local science centre event details
  • School contact details for Science
  • Blank front page if you wish to create your own design

Print out the four pages in black and white for photocopying onto an A3 newsletter.
