Regulations made under the Health and Safety at
Work Act 1974 require a risk assessment to be
carried out before hazardous chemicals are used
or made, harmful micro-organisms used or a hazardous
procedure is carried out. Please view the following
information carefully before undertaking any practical
activities.

From the 'Home' page you can reach the section you

Pupil and Teacher notes are presented as PDF files.
You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or above to view
these files. Acrobat Reader 5.0 is available to download
from the Adobe website www.adobe.co.uk.
When you have an up to date version of Acrobat Reader,
to access PDF files simply click on the link and the
document will load in your Acrobat Software.
To install Adobe Acrobat Reader:
1. Remove any previous versions of Acrobat Reader fully
from your computer.

The PowerPoint and Word files provided in some resources
must be saved to your computer hard drive before you
can view or amend them. You must have the relevant software
installed to view them. Please follow the instructions
given with these files.
To save the documents to your hard disk:
Internet Explorer
Windows - right click the link & select "Save
Target As" to save this document to your hard disk.
Macintosh - click the link and the document will load
in the application. Select File\Save As to save to your
hard disk.
Netscape
Windows - click the link and select "save it to
disk" to save this document to your hard disk.
Macintosh - click the link to save the document to your
hard disk.
