3.1 VnR - Modelling Package
A content-free modelling tool designed to help children describe the world in numerical and relative terms, helping them to speculate on the relationship between variables. Children can construct narratives and tell stories as a first stage in theory building.

3.2 Using Digital Cameras and Microscopes to Promote Learning
Examples of how digital cameras and microscopes can be used as part of the QCA Scheme of Work. Includes help on how to use the equipment, examples of pictures and examples of elapsed time photography using the microscope.

3.3 Datalogging in the Environment
An introduction to the basic theory of datalogging, including the setting-up process and a guide to running the datalogger remotely and connected to the computer. Also includes targeted worksheets for KS2 pupils.

3.4 Using Technology to Support Primary Science
Case studies from two Scottish schools, one very small and one large, showing how a variety of technologies has been used with children at all stages of primary schooling.

3.5 Integrating Planning for Science, ICT and Mathematics
Cross-curricular links between the QCA science and ICT Schemes of Work and the National Numeracy Strategy for primary pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6.
