A construction kit to build imaginary worlds and
compare the behaviour of these worlds with the
real world. This programme is for the confident
user of ICT. Once you get the hang of it you can
let your imagination run free - jump in and experiment!
Use this programme as a means of expressing thoughts,
or of exploring those of others, by developing
your own models to explain the relationships between
variables.

The Modelling programme requires a special piece
of software (Jave runtime) to work on your computer.
Clear instructions on how to install this and begin
Modelling are given in the Technical sheets below.
The help menu within the Modelling programme provides
step-by-step instructions for each task, for building
models and running them. The help menu also provides
access to a few activities to get you started, with
teacher and pupil guides and teacher tips. The diagrams
and screen pages are clear and fully annotated.

Read the Technical sheets before you start.
You need:
- A modern browser (e.g Internet Explorer, Netscape)
to read the help files. If you cannot access the help
files from within the Modelling programme,
follow the instructions in the Technical sheets.
- Java runtime software. This is included in the Zip
file below.

Please note that this file is an 10 Megabyte download.
Click on "ASE MODELLING TOOL". When prompted
"What would you like to do with this file?",
select "Save this file to disk ", then
click OK. The file will tehn begin to download.
Please note that this file is an 8 Megabyte download.
N.B. Macintosh users must be running OSX to use
the modelling package.
