Younger children are invited to design trainers
for Mr. Zippy so that he can run fast AND keep
his feet dry. |

Mr. Zippy's New Trainers is an interactive programme
that children with modest reading skills can run, and
enjoy on their own. Successive screens show Mr. Zippy
having problems with his footwear. The children are
taken through a short series of questions that help
them decide what makes a fast and waterproof trainer.
They are then given the chance to design a trainer of
their own, using 'drag and drop', using the styles and
colours of their choice. Great fun!
All instructions are on-screen for the children to
read. Children with limited reading skills would benefit
from an adult or child working with them. The finished
trainer can be printed out and displayed.
